What causes diarrhea?

    Diarrhea is a symptom that can be the result of a number of different causes, for example:    Dr. Farnham's Pet Products - Intestinal Formula contains time and case tested natural ingredients that help alleviate diarrhea associated with the most common of these causes, those that are stress and diet related.

 - too much of one type of food  - being boarded
 - spoiled food
 - table scraps
 - poorly digestible dog or cat food
   Along with the Intestinal Formula, a bland diet of four parts cooked rice and one part boiled hamburger or cottage cheese can be helpful.  If the dog or cat food is suspected to be poorly digestible, another brand should be tried - gradually introduce it over several days to avoid an abrupt change. If symptoms persist, seek consultation with a veterinarian for diagnostic tests.
